L'Ânerie

L'Ânerie is easy to miss from outside, and it is one of the most surprising rooms in the resort. Every inch of wall is covered: photos, frames, and objects guests have left behind at the end of a night, from a bra or a belt to a t-shirt. Some come back the next year with a gift, a candle or a frame. Ask the manager: each object has its story, from celebrities to friends and seasonal workers.

The food is properly good and properly Savoyard: classic and truffle fondue, raclette, hot stones.

Then the music takes over: iconic, mostly French songs that every European knows. Everyone ends up friends with everyone, without any fuss. It is the purest example in Courchevel of a French-style party, simple and mountain-rooted, and it is clearly underrated.

Raclette sets (machine, cheese and charcuterie) can also be delivered to chalets. It belongs to Maison Tournier.
